Day 25 - Middle Splits Challenge
Visited the gym today after waking up and spent some time stretching my shoulders.
Came back home to continue whole body stretch, after which I was ready for my splits session.
The Training
Warmed up with my usual drills for about 15 mins and got ready for the session.
The Experience
With yesterday's epiphany, I decided to not push too hard and simply enjoy the process.
The 1st set was a little stiff and my hip flexors & glutes felt a little tight.
By the 2nd and 3rd sets, they were loose and I was able to push a little harder.
By the 5th set, I actually felt I could still go for another set; my stance also felt more stable as well.
After a 60-second rest, I jumped into my front splits stretches and afterwards, my headstand sets.
Informal Sessions
Apart from wide leg horse stances as well as backbends to loosen the glutes, I have drastically reduced the informal sessions.
Since this challenge ends in 5 days, I've started contemplating how to plan the next challenge in order to accomplish this goal.
