Day 10 - Middle Splits Challenge

Woke up late, but didn't even care.

Formal gym time is dead this week :P.

Got the kiddos ready for school and I got ready for work.

The Training

After starting workday, I began warming up with my now-favorite exercises:

I love these warmups so much because it basically starts with you lying on your back (and who doesn't love leisurely warm-ups :D ?)

I know my thighs are much freer than before because my legs' range of motion is now higher than it used to be.

The Experience

The stretches were intense as always. Sometimes, I spend more time warming up as I dreaded the stretches; however, once I start the stretch sessions, I know I have to complete them.

Yesterday, I decided to close my eyes during the stretch sessions, and while I still felt the stretches, I also felt at peace.

I was sorta in state in which I accepted the aches as they arose with no judgment or criticism.

My eyes were closed for about 35-40 seconds during the stretches.

And just like that, I completed all the sets without feeling extra achy.

Informal Sessions

I was doggone tired after work and didn't complete a lot of informal sessions.

I keep doing butterfly poses whenever I'm seated and stretch my thighs whenever possible.

I also completed 2-sets of split training when I was about to sleep; closed my eyes during the splits to reduce the pain.

My butts are about 11-inches off the floor now; will keep my eyes closed from now on and hopefully, over the next 19 days, my butts will touch the ground.
